regarding Jacksons testimony.
by umbertoecho inhas anyone here re-watched that last day?
the part where justice mcclellan is asking mr jackson if he feels that this royal commission is a sincere effort to make some good changes in policy...?.
and does mr jackson feel it would be worth it to put a collective effort, along with other organizations to compensate or find means of redress, for the victims of child sexual abuse?.

umbertoecho, can you provide the time link to the part where Angus Stewart turns his back on Mr. Jackson? -

Another one decides to leave
by problemaddict 2 inwell in a month where i had a friend of 20 years tell me "we can't kick it no mo" because i no longer go to meetings, i had an even older friend who is coming to visit me, call me and tell me hes out.. currently a high profile ms who gives talks out all over the place, the elders said they are recommending him for appt to the body in sep when the co is coming through.
but nope......hes about to step down all together.. what did it?
because i am not disfellowshipped, and soft peddle my issues with the org, i was able to speak to him about things like blood, and a couple other things.

"...she wanted to raise her kids as JW's to give them a moral center..."
No, it would not be a good moral upbringing. The hypocrisy that they'll notice is not moral. The friends that they'll have in that religion aren't necessarily "good association" especially if they lead a double life.

"Sometimes I feel like I'm going crazy but I'm too afraid to tell my parents because I know they will just send me right back to the mental hospital. What should I do?"
Hi BlackWolf. I'm assuming you've had certain problems before. Find a doctor and get on some good medications for your depression. A lot of creative people have had personal issues to deal with.

Geoffrey Jackson: "That would be presumptuous of us"...
by Calebs Airplane inwithin the first few minutes, mr. stewart asked geoffrey jackson if the members of the governing body consider themselves to be god's spokesperson on earth.. his response: "that would be presumptuous of us" (implying that they don't consider themselves to be god's sole channel of communication).. to me, that was the worst lie of about 26 lies he's told during this hearing.
however, mr. stewart missed an opportunity to call out mr. jackson on this bold-faced lie.
he should have asked him to explain why the watchtower magazine teaches otherwise.

"To be fair Mr Jackson suffer from delusions and the other six GB members, they are sick....
"So give the poor SOB's a break, they need help."
Adolf Hitler and the Nazis suffered from delusions so why should we give any dictator/s "a break"?

I mentioned this on another thread but it would have been good if Mr. Stewart had one of us poster's present at the RC as advisors. With a Watchtower CD he would have been able to respond to Geoffrey Jackson's lies. We have the extensive knowledge and background to do it.

umbertoecho, would it be possible to suggest to the commission that they have an ex jw advisor present at the hearings to bring up Watchtower articles that contradict the testimony being given by people like GJ? The BS Jackson gave about it's being presumptuous that the GB considers itself to be God's sole representative on Earth would have been easy to expose using the Watchtower articles. -

Would this be any use to the Royal Commission?
by freddo ini believe this shows how the org.
doesn't want to be held accountable to secular legal authorities.. in the 1991 green elders handbook (used between 1991 and 2010) there is a blank page (page 143) and at one elders school we were instructed to write six expressions that "should not be used on s77 + s79 forms (df and da forms)".. 1) anything alluding to or naming one of the society's legal advisers.. 2) any mention of the legal desk.. 3) any comments referring to direction from the society.. 4) any comments mentioning anyone other than the committee itself as a possible influence in the decision reached.. 5) any comment that might suggest someone with a critical eye that the committee did not reach its decision on its own but instead somehow yielded to the influence of an outside party.. 6) any comments indicating the elders mishandled the case or committed any error in the investigation or the judicial committee process.. i have in my possession two elders handbooks with these exact words written in each in different handwriting.

"What I'm hoping for is another few days of just grilling Jackson they way they did the other guys."
Vidiot, At the end of Jackson's testimony the judge excused him from his summons. That should mean that he's no longer going to testify. Too bad.
It's too bad that Stewart did not have one of us at his side to call up Watchtower articles contradicting Jackson's lies. The one where Jackson said that it would be presumptuous for the GB to believe that they are God's sole channel of communication was the biggest whopper of them all.

New Congregation Position Soon? ELDERESS?
by 7Starz ini just listened to most of geoffrey jackson's royal commission testimony and i have to say i really enjoyed the multiple times he had to state he would get back to them and would research their questions.. the royal commission was asking if policy could be changed to have women serve on a committee to decide the case and then that bodies decision be brought to the elders to decide whether to show mercy or to disfellowship and individual.
three times the judge had to ask mr. jackson to answer his question.. it was amazing how jackson could not find a scripture to show his honor that women were prohibited to serve as elders.
he could only support that men are appointed as elders.. hmm... i've never been a member of the governing body with all their years of so called spiritual training, but even i remember deborah the prophetess, when the judge asked jackson if women could serve as a judge.. i was so hoping that the judge or mr. stewart would refer to deborah.
